Tribute paid to fallen soldiers in successive eras in Nay Pyi Taw

A ceremony to pay tribute to and salute the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country and the people in successive eras took place at the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes in Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on December 3.  

Present on the occasion were Lieutenant General Teza Kyaw of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Adjutant General Lt-Gen Soe Min Oo and senior military officers, Myanmar War Veterans Organization’s CEC chair Lt-Gen Sein Win (Retd) and members, leaders of political parties and others.

The ceremony went according to the agenda such as saluting the fallen soldiers in successive eras, keeping a short silence in grief for the fallen soldiers and praying for them, and releasing hot-air balloons and peace symbol white doves.

Then, those in attendance laid wreaths at the memorial and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers.
