Myanmar found 376 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on October 7 bringing total number of patients to 625,873, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).

A total of 12,201 samples were tested between 8 pm of October 6 and 8 pm of October 7 and found 376 patients. Two more patients died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 19,466, according to a report from the ministry.

A total of 291 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospitals on October 7,  bringing total number to 599,888, it said.

Among the 138 people died of COVID-19 from January 28 to September 19, 97 people had the chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart, lungs, kidneys and cancer related diseases.
