A primary school teacher was shot around 2:30 pm on December 9 on Chindwin Road, Ward 25 in South Dagon Township, according to residents.

A primary school teacher was shot in front of her home on her way home from school on a bicycle, according to residents.

"I heard gunshots. It is learned that the gunman came on a motorcycle. The teacher was injured. Security forces came to check,” said a resident in the area.

The schoolteacher who was shot is being treated at a hospital for gunshot wounds.

Security forces were seen patrolling the area until after 4 pm after the shooting, according to residents.
