Myanmar saw 5,506 new Covid-19 cases in a single day after a total samples of 13,487 had been tested from July 22 at 8:00 pm to July 23 at 8:00 pm, with 326 more deaths, the Ministry of Health and Sports(MOHS) reported at 8pm news hours of July 23.
Moreover, 326 deaths were reported on that day bringing the death toll to 6,459 since the outbreak.
On the same day, 3,095 patients were discharged after their recoveries, bringing the total number patients discharged to 177,021 according to MOHS.On July 23, the labs run by the MOHS reported of 303 confirmed cases; the hospitals in various regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw had 24 confirmed cases, No (1) Defense Services Hospital in Yangon 2251 cases; No (9) Defence Services Hospital Lashio (100 Bed hospital) 107 confirmed cases; private hospitals and labs 167 cases; hospitals in various regions and states when tested with COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic 986 cases; and public health departments in Nay Pyi taw Council, States and Region 3658 confirmed cases.
