Myanmar has mainly two political groups: democracy and dictatorship though there are many political parties in the country, wrote Win Myint, President and Vice Chair (1) of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) party in his Facebook account on October 20.

The world’s countries use many democracy systems. Some use a two-party system and some use multi-party systems. Myanmar is using a multi-party system, he said.

“Voters find it confusing that there are many political parties although the country is small and its population is low. But they can see the truth if they check it thoroughly. We only have two political groups: democracy and dictatorship,” said the President.

“The voters need to choose the party which has a brilliant and great leader, is trusted and supported by people and is tried hard for democracy. There is no other party for democracy except for the National League for Democracy”, he said.

The President is elected from Tamwe Constituency in the 2015 general election and he will compete at the same constituency in the upcoming 2020 general election.
