Myanmar sees another record high number of new COVID cases in a single day

Myanmar found 1,294 COVID-19 new confirmed cases on October 4 and 41 more people died announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of October 4.

A total of 8,107 samples are tested on October 3 and found 1294 confirmed patients, it said.

A total of 400 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 5,195. Up to 412 patients have died from the virus, it said.

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid anti-gen diagnostic test kits, and among the tests, those with loss of smell are included, announced the MOHS.
