Wounded worker from the police outpost attack near the border fence is died from the injuries he sustained in the attack on January 24, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Information.

The unknown gunmen attacked the police outpost using RPG and M-79 weapons from the place about 200 meters away from the border fence and inside Bangladesh and the shells hit watch tower and toilet. Two policemen and labourer Kyaw Myo Lwin had injuries, said the announcement.

The gunmen also attacked the reinforcements from No.5 border guard police force but no one had injured in the attack. The attack ended at 8:30 am, it said.

Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Bangladesh Ambassador to inform about the attack. Myanmar and Bangladesh are neighbouring countries with a good relation and Bangladesh set policy which is not accepted terrorism. Myanmar asked Bangladesh to take necessary action on the attackers who are using the territory of Bangladesh to attack Myanmar police outpost.
