Voting in the townships included in Election Phase (3) began at 6:00 a.m. on January 25, 2026, and concluded at 4:00 p.m. the same day. Polling stations have since begun closing.

Election Phase (3), held on January 25, involved a total of 61 townships: three townships in Kachin State, two in Kayin State, two in Sagaing Region, three in Tanintharyi Region, eight in Bago Region, eight in Mandalay Region, 17 in Yangon Region, nine in Shan State, and nine in Ayeyarwady Region.

Originally, Election Phase (3) was scheduled to be conducted in 63 townships. However, on January 20, the Union Election Commission announced that elections would not be held in Mansi and Momauk townships in Kachin State. As a result, Election Phase (3) was conducted in only 61 townships.

International election observers for Election Phase (3) included a delegation from India; a delegation led by the Chairman of the Belarusian Party from the Republic of Belarus; a delegation led by Ms. Yusti Erina, a member of the Indonesian Election Commission; a delegation led by Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar, a member of the Election Commission of Nepal; a delegation led by Mr. Yich Samethy, a member of the Cambodian Election Commission; a delegation led by Mr. Mario Jose Armengol Campos from Nicaragua; and a delegation led by Dr. Chheng Kimlong, Vice President of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP). In addition, representatives from foreign embassies based in the country also conducted observation activities.

Out of a total of 330 townships nationwide in the 2025 multi-party general election, Election Phase (1) was held in 102 townships on December 28, 2025; Election Phase (2) was held in 100 townships on January 11, 2026; and Election Phase (3) was held in 61 townships on January 25, 2026. With this, the 2025 multi-party general election has been completed, although elections could not be held in the remaining 67 townships.
