State Administration Council member, Deputy prime minister and Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut received Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr.Chen Hai and party at the hall of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on May 31.
At the meeting, they discussed matters on China’s readiness to provide assistances for the rehabilitation work in Cyclone Mocha hit Rakhine State, online fraud and gambling on the Myanmar-China and Myanmar-Thailand borders, increase of cooperation in the fight against transnational crimes, arrests of fugitives, and exchanged views on combatting of production of drugs and transportation and selling of drugs, controlling of precursor chemicals used in manufacturing drugs.
They also discussed holding of ministerial level meeting on 7th Myanmar-China law enforcement and security cooperation, and Mekong-Lancang law enforcement cooperation, to increase in implementing of basic infrastructure in project, matters on increase assistance in training of technology, to timely exchange news and information, and rule of law and cooperation in security matters.
Present on the occasion were permanent secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs U Khine Tun Oo, Deputy Chief of Police (1) Police Maj-Gen Aung Aung and Police Brig-Gen Aung Htay Myint of Department of Transnational Crimes.
