Health authorities found two patients with high body temperature in Muse on January 27 but they have no symptoms of coronavirus yet, said Dr Myo Zaw, Medical Superintendent of Muse General Hospital.

“We took a record of body temperature to everyone who came to Muse. We found them and sent to the hospital. One of them has a little high body temperature and admitted to the hospital as an inpatient,” said the Medical Superintendent.

They didn’t visit Wuhan, he continued.

The news spread around social media is wrong and health authorities in Muse are performing measures to prevent coronavirus. Most of the people, who went to visit China regularly, are from Myanmar, said Thurein, Administrator of Muse.

“We are giving education talk with social welfare associations about coronavirus and we have meeting tomorrow with social welfare associations, ward administrators and MPs to carry out prevention measures. About 95 per cent of people went to China are Myanmar citizens. Authorities from Tengchong County didn’t grant permission to people who came from mainland to enter in their county since January 26. Only a few people went to visit China from Muse,” he said.

Muse is bordering with China and is important for trade.
