Four children went missing after drowning while bathing at the Yone Nyaung Pin Jetty in Nyaung-U Township. The Myanmar Fire Services Department confirmed that two bodies have been recovered, while search efforts continue for the remaining two.

The incident occurred around 12:10 PM on April 23 in Ward No. (1) of Nyaung-U, Mandalay Region. Upon receiving the report, the Nyaung-U Township Fire Station dispatched one rescue vehicle, one assault boat, search and rescue teams, backup firefighters from Fire Station No. (5) and a social assistance vehicle.

During the search, the bodies of two children were found at 12:40 PM and 1:24 PM, respectively. Rescue operations are ongoing for the other two missing children.
