A total of 113 aftershocks have been recorded as of April 10 following the strong earthquake, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).
The strong earthquake, which measured 7.7 on the Richter scale, struck at 12:51 pm on March 28, 2025, and 113 aftershocks have been recorded since April 10.
The strong earthquake caused earthquakes in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago regions, northeastern Shan State, and Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, damaging roads, bridges, and buildings, and causing deaths and injuries.
As of April 9, 3,649 people have died, 5,018 have been injured, and 145 are missing.
