The twelfth regular sessions of the Second Parliament will resume in Nay Pyi Taw on April 29.

The twelfth regular sessions of the Second Union Parliament and Upper House will resume in Nay Pyi Taw on April 29.

“We have chosen April 22 to resume the regular sessions first. But we have changed April 22 to 29 because it is very close to the time just after the water festival. Around April 22 is not okay for travel from one to another. The meetings will have to resume at the same time,” said Dr Hla Moe, Secretary of Lower House’s Hluttaw Rights Committee.

The eleventh regular sessions of the Second Union Parliament, Lower House and Upper House came to a stop on March 14. The meetings of Union Parliament ended on March 15.

The eleventh regular sessions of the Second Lower House took 25 days. There were 172 questions with stars. 535 questions without stars were replied. 15 proposals were submitted. 9 of them were approved. Four proposals were put into record. There was no plan to discuss two proposals. 11 out of 23 bills could be approved. The parliament has 12 bills left to continue discussions.
