Traffic resumed on the Myawady-Kawkareik Dawna Taung Kyaw Road, which had been closed since March 25, on March 30.

The fighting that took place on March 25 in Myawady Trade Zone, on Dawna Taung Kyaw Road and Kyondoe area, traffic on the road were suspended.

An official from the Thingannyinaung Social Relief Organization said that after Myawady Dawna Taung Kyaw Road was suspended for five days, buses and trucks are moving as usual today.

"They have been traveling since 3 o'clock yesterday evening. Today, we see many small vehicles and buses," he said.

A Myawady-Mawlamyaing driver also said that many big and small cars are already traveling this morning.

"I have reached on the mountain and there are many cars and buses. I don't see as many trucks as before. Today, the traffic on the mountain is normal. When I used to go from Htot Kaw Koe road on the other side, the road was rough and the car was damaged," said a driver.

It is reported that due to previous clashes on Myawady Dawna Taung Kyaw Road, traffic and border trade were stopped.
