Three dead and 13 injured as Cyclonic Storm MOCHA hit in Myanmar: SAC

State Administration Council (SAC) reported that three people were killed and 13 were injured as severe cyclonic storm MOCHA strike in Myanmar.

The SAC also said that the storm damaged 864 houses, 11 religious buildings, 16 monasteries, 64 schools, 14 clinics including hospitals, seven communication towers, 71 lampposts and 38 departmental buildings across the nation.

In Rakhine State, 588 houses in 185 villages, three religious buildings, eight monasteries, 25 schools, nine clinics including hospitals, a cell phone tower, seven lampposts, electrical transformer, market and 26 departmental buildings were destroyed and two people died in the storm. 

Moreover, the storm killed a person and damaged 131 houses of 114 villages, religious building, five monasteries, 32 schools, five clinics and hospitals , nine lampposts and three governmental buildings in Ayeyarwady Region as well as there had been damages including houses, monasteries, schools, electrical transformers, cell phone towers, airport’s lounge, religious buildings and plantations, in Yangon Region, Nay Pyi Taw, Chin State, Sagaing, Bago, Magway and Mandalay Regions.
