Authorities announced on February 23 that the first regular sessions of the third-term Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House), Amyotha Hluttaw (Upper House), and Region/State Hluttaws will convene in March in accordance with the 2008 Constitution and relevant laws.
The third-term Pyithu Hluttaw will open in Nay Pyi Taw on March 16, 2026, at 10 a.m., followed by the Amyotha Hluttaw on March 18 at 10 a.m. Region and State Hluttaws will begin their sessions on March 20.
Members of Parliament have been instructed to arrive in Nay Pyi Taw in advance to prepare for the meetings, regardless of whether they have formally received invitation letters. Pyithu Hluttaw representatives must report between March 10 and 11, while Amyotha Hluttaw representatives are to report between March 12 and 13. Region and State Hluttaw representatives must report to their respective assemblies between March 14 and 15.
Accommodation arrangements have been designated at specific guesthouses and parliamentary offices for attending lawmakers.
