The number of new COVID-19 patients reached to 51 in Mon State within September 1 to 15: Ministry of Health

Last month, there were only 42 COVID-19 patients in Mon State but from September 1 to 15, the number of COVID-19 patients reached to 52 and so the infection rate is increasing according to sources.

The new patients in Mon State were as follow; one from Kyaikhto Township, 12 new patients from Thahton Township, 10 from Paung Township, 3 from Mawlamyine Township, one from Chaungsone Township, one from Mudon Township, 5 new patients from Thanbyu Zayat Township, one from yay Township and 13 who came back from abroad.

The numbers of new COVID-19 patients in Mon State were detected from health check done in hospitals and their close contacts. The positive patient from Chaungsone Township completed  COVID vaccine for four times and had suffered COVID-19 in the past. However, one who had covered COVID-19 vaccines cannot face life threatening situation according to doctors.

In 2021 January to August, there were 3992 COVID-19 patients and 20 were killed according to Ministry of Health but the actual fatality rate was higher than that amount according to those helping the COVID-19 cases in the Township.
