A stun grenade explosion occurred at a roadside bush in Shwe War Yaung Street and Thukha-2 Street, ward-5 in Myawaddy on August 27 at 6:25 am.

Security forces including police inspected the place where stun grenade explosion happened.   Left side glass window of a white canter vehicle parked near the street was destroyed.

“People were frightened by the loud noise. Luckily, there were no passer-by and no one on the vehicle,” said a nearby resident. No one was hurt and no other building was destroyed due to the grenade attack.

In the past, a ward administrator from the ward-5 was killed by gunshot wound. At least three explosions occurred but no one was hurt.
