Due to the effect of severe Cyclonic Storm MOCHA, strong wind hit in Latputa Township, Ayeyarwady Region destroying over 100 houses, according to the reports issued this morning.

The relevant authorities are now supporting the aids to the storm victims.

“In Latputta Township, 41 houses were completely damaged. The roofs of 61 houses were also blown out. In accordance with the Rescue Guideline, we are now providing the assistances to the storm victims. We also provided the roofs for the damaging monastery. Moreover, the strong wind blew out the roofs of four schools. The Education Department will help in renovation tasks. We provided the aids to the storm victims and then the South Western Command is now supplying the assistances,” said the district head officer from Latputta District Natural Disaster Management Office.

The head officer also reported that there was no casualty in the Latputta Township.
