South Korea President and First Lady visit Shwedagon Pagoda

South Korean President Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-sook  visited the Shwedagon Pagoda on September 4 evening.

They also visited the Martyrs' Mausoleum and paid tributes to General Aung San and martyrs. They then laid a wreath at the mausoleum. Next, they also laid a wreath at the Korea memorial monument.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in and wife  visits Myanmar at the invitation of President Win Myint.

The visit is a part of Moon’s six-day tour of the region beginning Sept. 1 to build closer ties with Southeast Asian countries President Moon Jae-in first visited Thailand before heading to Myanmar.

 According to Myanmar government data, South Korea is the sixth-largest foreign investor in the country.
