PAKOKKU-----Some ward and village administrators have resigned following kills of two administrators in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, on December 28th and 29th, according to the sources.  

“Our ward administrator from No.9 Ward in Pakokku has left his job. He informed the dwellers from No.9 ward of his resignation,” said a local from No.9 ward.

Some ward and village administrators sent their resignation letters to the Pakokku Township Administration Department so also the news about resignation of administrators already spread on the social media pages since yesterday night.

“We heard that our ward administrator steeped down. Some of them had announced online that they had resigned. They did so out of fear that their lives would be harmed,” said a local from Pakokku Township.

Tin Hlaing who was an administrator from Pakokku Myothit ward was shot dead in his house in the morning of December 28th. Two unknown gunmen opened a fire on him.

Likewise, Moe Moe Thin, a ward administrator from No.14 Ward in Pakokku was shot dead in the afternoon of December 29th after leaving from a shopping by two unknown gunmen.
