Pyay – Authorities are planning to tighten security in facility quarantine camps in Bago Region, said Tun Tun Oo, Minister for Immigration and Human Resource Development.

“I told the township administrator about it. I will consult with Bago Region Chief Minister and Minister for Security and Border Affairs of the region to increase security in the camps,” he said.

The minister inspected facility quarantine camps in six townships in Pyay district and told the media about the plan to increase the security in facility quarantine camps on March 29.

“The facility quarantine camps in Pyay are convenient as social welfare associations are helped them a lot. But the facility quarantine camps in Wathtikan and Laebe are in trouble due to lack of cooperation between authorities and police force. The camps are opened in villages but villagers are afraid of the infection. So they don’t give much help to the people in the camps. Security is not tightened in those camps and some people in the camps came out to drink alcohol,” said MP Kyaw Zeya of Pyay Constituency.

Some secretly came out from the facility quarantine camps in Pyay and some are refused to stay in the camps.
