The Peace Talk Team of the State Administration Council met with five Peace Process Steering Team-PPST members ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU and PNLO which had signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. 

On the occasion were member of the State Administration Council Union Minister at the Union Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, member of State Administration Council Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and his members, ALP’s chairman Saw Mra Razar Lin, Adjutant General Saw Sein Win from DKBA, KNU/KNLA vice-chairman Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo, the vice-chairman of LDU and the PNLO’s patron.

They discussed the points to be amended in the Constitution (2008), implementation of the points agreed upon in the previous discussions, the issues of holding a peace conference, regional stability and the annihilation of the narcotic drugs. The first-day meeting was adjourned and the second day meeting will continue on 27 June.
