Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met the local people who had temporarily left their homes at the Sri Mingalar Mansu Shan Monastery in Lashio on the evening of December 15.
Along with the Vice-Chairman of SAC, his wife, Daw Than Than Nwe, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence, Commander and members of the North-Eastern Command were accompanied. First, Vice-Senior General Soe Win and his wife paid homage to Dr. Baddanta Punyananda, Presiding Sayadaw of the Sri Mingalar Mansu Shan Monastery in Lashio town.
After that, the Vice-Chairman of the SAC and his wife presented gifts to the Presiding Sayadaw of the Sri Mingalar Mansu Shan Monastery and the Sayadaw returned the sacred gifts.
After that, the Vice-Chairman of the SAC and his wife provided the clothes, rice, cooking oil and food items given by the SAC Chairman for the temporarily displaced local people in Lashio and received by the officials on behalf of the temporarily displaced local people. The Vice-Chairman of the SAC and his wife met and greeted the temporarily displaced local people who were temporarily sheltered at Sri Mingalar Mansu Shan Monastery.
