SAC chair, former UNSG Ban Ki-moon discuss latest developments in Myanmar

Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Deputy Chair of The Elders and former Secretary-General of the United Nations, at the Office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of April 24, state-run media reported.

Both sides cordially and positively discussed latest developments in Myanmar and exchanged their views.

After the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Mr. Ban Ki-moon exchanged souvenirs.

Also present at the meeting together with the SAC chairman were Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe.  Mr. Ban Ki-moon was accompanied by Mr. KIM Bong-Hyun, former Republic of Korea ambassador to Australia, and officials.

The delegation led by Mr. Ban Ki-moon arrived in Myanmar on April 23.
