Police arrested two men for possessing stimulant methamphatamine tablets worth over Ks50 million from in Insein Township on December 21, according to the anti-narcotics task force.

Acting on a tip-off, the anti-narcotics task force searched a hotel room in Insein Township and found a man from Taunggyi. They found stimulant tablets and a handset in his room and a car in the hotel car parking.

After some interrogation, he confessed that he had a partner living in the township, leading to his subsequent arrest after he arrived at the hotel in the evening while the police lie in wait.

The police lodged a complaint against them under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substance Law at Insein Township police station.
