Police seize over 8,000 amphetamine tablets in Maungdaw

Maungdaw – Police seized over 8,000 amphetamine tablets in Maungdaw on March 3, announced the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The police stopped a man riding a motorcycle in front of Kamaungsake police outpost in Maungdaw and found 8,500 amphetamine tablets from him.

Police lodged a complaint against Hla Min under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substance Law.

On March 2, the police searched a vehicle loading gunny sacks at a warehouse located in East Myoma Ward, Maungdaw and found over 4.9 million amphetamine tablets worth about Ks9.9 billion packed inside the gunny sacks.
