Police is hunting down the murderer of a female construction company owner in Nay Pyi Taw, said Tin Htay, head of Oattara Thiri Township police station.

The murder case occurred at a house in Kyun Chaung Street, No.2 Yaza Thingaha housing in Yadanar Theidi ward, Oattara Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw. Witnesses found a body, which had burn wounds on upper parts, inside a bathroom in the house.

“We have lodged the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code. We are following after the suspect of the murder,” said Tin Htay.

The police had been reported about the death case in the evening of October 28. They said a female body was found inside the bathroom with most of the upper body sporting burns.

He said, “The policemen, ward administrative members, firemen and electricians went to the scene to investigate the case. Two companies operate based in the house: Aung Myin Chan Thar Construction Company and WE & WE Interior Design Decoration Company. The door of the compound is wide open and the owner of the companies, Khin Htwe Win Than aka Mie Nge, was found dead in the bathroom.”

The police reported it to township and district administrators, head of district police force, head of regional police force and headquarter of Myanmar police force. Deputy Chief of Myanmar police force, officials and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) came to inspect the case, he said.

He added the police are hunting down the culprit and also that a car is missing from the house.
