Pakokku-Kyunchaung down train attacked with mine

MAGWAY-----No.2 Pakokku-Kyunchaung down train was attacked with mine between two railway stations of University of Computer Science and Thegyi railway station damaging engine of locomotive and three people were injured in the morning of December 21st, according to the information team of State Administration Council (SAC).

A homemade mine exploded when the train leaving for Pakokku-Kyunchaung from Pakokku railway station arrived at the milepost 474. The bomb blast damaged some parts of locomotive so also  a locomotive driver and his assistance and security member were injured.

Moreover, unexploded handmade mine and its related equipment were found near the incident and the wounded people were also sent to Pakokku Township Hospital.

Similarly, an overpass was attacked with handmade mine at milepost 361 situated on Kyaukpadaung-Pyinmana railway section near Kanpauk village, Kyaukpadaung Township, Mandalay Region at the noon of December 21st.

Due to the blast, rail tracks were damaged.When the security members checked the incident, another handmade mine exploded injuring two security members.
