Myanmar found 1,010 COVID-19 new confirmed patients on October 1 and 11 more people died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of October 1.

A total of 5,352 samples are tested on October 1 and found 1,010 confirmed patients, it said.

A total of 401 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 4,156. Up to 321 patients have died from the virus, it said.

It said 301,393 samples were tested till October 1 and found 14,383 patients so far.

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid anti-gen diagnostic test kits, announced the MOHS.
