NLD, USDP supporters up in massive rallies in Hinthada

Supporters of both the National League for Democracy and Union Solidarity and Development Party competitively rallied for election campaigning in Hinthada Township of Ayeyawady Region on October 25. 

The NLD supporters on vehicles went further to Laymyathnar and Ingaupu townships outside Hinthada. 

“Today, we NLD supporters will be heading towards Natmauk, Neikban, Yonthalin, Khamauksu, Aithabyu, Laymyathna, Pandawgyi, Kwinkauk and Talokhtaw and back to Hinthada. We are rallying in accord with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports such as wearing masks,” said Ko Than Htut, a leader of the NLD convoy of vehicles. 

More supporters and vehicles have been found in the USDP convoy rallying in Hinthada for the party’s success in the upcoming election. 

“We are going round in this town of Hinthada in support of the USDP for its success in the election. A lot  of party supporters on cars and motorcycles are joining us. We had rallies over the past days. Today, we have a lot more supporters. Most supporters are from rural areas rathan the town area. We give our ardent support because we want U Htay Oo to win the election,” said Khaing Win from Kyontone Station. 

As the election nears, more supporters of NLD and USDP alike are rallying in large numbers.
