Myanmar U-22 head coach Bulgarian citizen  Velizar Popov constituted Myanmar U-22 men's football squad with 25 preliminary players. Eighteen currently-selected players came from those from the team that took part in the Asian U-23 qualifier and seven players were left.

The currently-selected players are intended to play against two friendly matches. Myanmar U-22 men's squad will play the friendly match against Pohang Steelers of the South Korea (ROK) in Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on May 30 and Viet Nam U-22 national team in Viet Nam on June 7.

The currently-selected players will play for mother club against the semifinal matches of General Aung San Knockout Shield.

The first leg of semi final match of General Aung San Knockout Shield will be held on May 25 and 26 and the second leg on June 1 and 2.  

Myanmar head coach  Velizar Popov will continue making changes after friendly matches targeting to SEA Games.
