Myanmar reports 955 new patients and 16 deaths on Nov 3

Myanmar found 955 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on November 3 bringing total number of patients to 502,979, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).

A total of 28,739 samples were tested between 8 pm of November 2 and 8 pm of November 3 and found 955 patients. 16 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 18,744, according to a report from the ministry.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states.

A total of 4,939,749 samples are tested till November 3 and 1,571 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospitals bringing total number to 472,364, it said.

As of November 2, Myanmar has more than 7.39 million people who received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and over 6 million people who received one dose, totaling over 20 million jabs, according to the MOH.

The number of COVID-19 vaccines injection in Myanmar is currently being expanded to about 300,000 a day.
