Myanmar reports 5,127 new patients on July 30

Myanmar found 5,127 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on July 30 bringing total number of patients to 294,460, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS).

A total of 14,135 samples are tested between 8 pm of July 29 and 8 pm of July 30 and found 5,127 patients. 390 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 8,942, according to a report from the MOHS.

It said 240 out of 572 samples tested in labs under the MOHS, 74 out of 103 samples tested using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states, 169 out of 810 samples tested at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, 71 out of 157 samples tested at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, 176 out of 844 samples tested at private hospitals and labs, 990 out of 2,037 samples tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states and 3,407 out of 9,612 samples tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in public health departments in regions and states, are found infected with the virus.

A total of 3,145,646 samples are tested till July 30 and 3,442 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing total number to 205,677, it said.
