Myanmar reports 151 new patients and 2 deaths on Jan 12

Myanmar found 151 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on January 12 bringing total number of patients to 532,553, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).

A total of 11,529 samples are tested between 8 pm of January 11 and 8 pm of January 12 and found 151 patients. Two more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 19,297, according to a report from the MOH.

A total of 6,164,679 samples are tested till January 12 and 334 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing total number to 510,806, it said.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states.
