NAYPYITAW-----Union Minister for Electric Power Thaung Han invited Russian investments in Lithium battery manufacturing plants for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) which will be widely used in Myanmar.
The Electric Power Union Minister met with a delegation led by Antoly Bulochnikov, Vice-President of the Russia-Myanmar Association for Friendship and Cooperation at his office in Nay Pyi Taw on January 30th.
At the call, they discussed about formation of working committees on cooperation, potential status for cooperation in projects of various energy sources including hydropower and wind power in Myanmar, Russian investments in lithium battery manufacturing plants for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) which are to be used in Myanmar in the not-distant future, opportunities to cooperate with local companies from Myanmar in electrification projects, methods of economic cooperation in the producing and selling of electricity and finance matters.
Deputy Minister for Electric Power Dr Aung Zeya, departmental heads, officials from Russian Embassy and Russia-Myanmar Association for Friendship and Cooperation also attended the meeting.
