Myanmar Embassy announces Myanmar workers working in Japan must pay between 1,000 and 2,000 yen as monthly income tax

Myanmar workers working in Japan must pay between 1,000 and 2,000 yen as monthly income tax, the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced.

Myanmar workers arriving and working in Japan must pay income taxes. The average monthly income of Myanmar workers in Japan is set at 200,000 yen and 2% income tax is set at 4,000 yen. Out of the 4,000 yen allowance, the relief will be set at 2,000 yen and 2,000 yen must be paid as monthly income tax, the embassy announced.

The Myanmar Embassy announced that if those who earn less than 200,000 yen in monthly, an average monthly income of 150,000 yen has been set for them and 3,000 yen as monthly income tax. The relief will be set at 2,000 yen and 1,000 yen will be paid as monthly income tax.

The embassy will issue income tax certificates, and if taxpayers apply for income tax payment certificates at the embassy during a certain period, they will issue a certificate with the amount of income tax and the average income, the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced.
