Myanmar Consul General attends opening ceremony of 15th Kunming City Municipal People's Congress

The Myanmar Consul General's Office in Kumning City, led by Consul General U Thwin Htet Lin, attended the 5th session of the 15th Kumning City Municipal People's Congress. The program included a review of the draft development plan, the financial implementation status of the 2024 regional budget, and discussions on the allocation of the 2025 budget. The review also encompassed the 5th draft of the Kumning City Municipal People's Congress.

The ceremony involved drafting and revising laws and regulations, and members of the committee voted on these matters as per the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event highlighted the issuance of an official statement by Kumning City and was presided over by Mr. Liu Jiachen, who formally opened the session.

Representatives of the Kumning City Municipal People's Congress and specially invited dignitaries read and presented the government’s reports, including plans for economic and social development for 2024. These included development projects and the agenda for 2025. The event was attended by senior officials from Kumning City's Consul General's Office and national guests from economic and social sectors.
