Two monks and two other persons were arrested and charged for protesting in front of the Insein Prison regarding the monk U Wirathu.     

U Agga Daza and U Pinya Vansa who took part in the protest were booked under section 20, and of the two persons, U Htay Win was charged under sections 20, 332, 353, whilst U Thet Myo Oo was charged  under section 20 by the Insein police station.     

U Pinya Vansa said, "The section under which we were nabbed we  could get bail. U Htay Win was charged under three sections. He would not get bail. He has to stay in the lockup.He has been called for. "    

In the protest made in front of Insein Jail on 16 Jan. by some monks asking U Wirathu and other prisoners to be tried in court, there was a castle and a man that had partaken in the protest was nabbed.   

A good number of police had taken position in front of Insein jail as they had already got information about the protest to be made there Although monks were prevented from joining in the protest the monks protested across the road in front of the jail.
