Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met Mr. Ramanathan Balakrishnan, acting UN Resident Coordinator and humanitarian Coordinator for Myanmar at the hall of the Ministry on December 8.

They discussed and exchanged views concerning friendly cooperation with UN agencies, arrangement of entry visas and accommodation for foreign employees from UN agencies, the collaboration of UN agencies over humanitarian activities in Myanmar, support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for taking a census in Myanmar and measures for further cooperation.

Present on the occasion were deputy ministers U Htay Hlaing, Dr. Myo Thant and officials.
