Mine blast occurred at the Yay Aye Myaung concrete bridge in Kyaukgyi-Thanbo road in Kyaukgyi Township in Bago Region on the morning of January 31 according to Myanmar Police Force.

Some members from KNU and PDF attacked with mine at Yay Aye Myaung concrete bridge in Kyaukgyi-Thanbo road in Kyaukgyi Township in Bago Region around 3:00 am on January 31. As a result, the floor of the bridge was destroyed and vehicles were inaccessible.

Myanmar Police Force reported that the security members are now investigating the mine blast and they will take actions against those who planted the mine in accordance with the law. At the same time, the bridge was being repaired, it said.
