Mine attack destroyed the Kawtnwe Bridge on the Myawady-Kawkareik Asia Highway, sources said.
The PDF joint team detonated and destroyed a 205-foot in length and 36-feet in width reinforced concrete bridge located between mile post 141 and 142 of the Myawady-Kawkareik Asia Highway, Kawkareik Township, Kayin State at 5:30 am on December 15. It is known that the bridge has collapsed and vehicles cannot pass through it.
The relevant officials are working to restore the bridge that was damaged by the incident, and the security forces are continuing to take action against those who destroyed the bridge with mine and to maintain peace and stability in the area.
