The Myanmar Football Federation is planning to appoint a foreign head coach to steer Myanmar men’s U-15 and Myanmar men’s U-16.

The MFF invited foreign football coaches to apply the head coach for Myanmar youth teams. The applicants totaled more than 100.

Currently Myanmar U-15 is being coached by Japanese coach Takumu. The MFF aims to nurture young talented players and so it is planning to appoint the foreign coach.

“The MFF is planning to appoint a foreign head coach to handle U-15 and U-16 teams. We will be likely to appoint the coach from European countries. There are more than 100 applicants. The head coach will be chosen after making a shortlist,” said Ko Ko Thein, General Secretary of the MFF.

The MFF is seeking the foreign head coach to train the players coming from youth academies and Myanmar youth teams.

The MFF is comprised of seven young men’s and women’s teams. Three out of the seven teams have coaches. The technical committee is supervising the coach appointment.
