Insein railway flyover (on the side of Mingyi Road) will be opened on January 4, 2022 which falls on Independence Day, according to Myanma Railways (MR).

A1 Construction Company takes charge of the flyover project at a cost of Ks1.91 billion under the supervision of N/r.

The inauguration plan comes as Insein railway flyover-2 has completed its tributary bridge on the side of Mingyi Road.

This tributary flyover connects Mingyi Road and the old Insein railway flyover by passing Baho Road. With a bored pile foundation, the tributary bridge is of RC and steel girders with concrete floor. It is 441 feet long and 16 feet wide with a 123-foot approach bridge. It is 18 feet high.

“Our flyover construction is almost finished. We are in final touches. Tarring and concrete laying have finished. We will open it on January 4, 2021. Upon completion of the bridge, vehicles can run from Insein market to the hospital, the administration office and Insein (GTI) on the side of Mingyi Road through this tributary flyover,” said superintending engineer Maung Cho from MR.
