The matriculation exam results for the 2023-2024 academic year were released nationwide this morning. 

Seven prisoners from Insein Prison, Yangon, sat for the matriculation exam and passed with flying colors. 

The Ministry of Education declared the results on June 11. Among the prisoners, one achieved four distinctions, four achieved three distinctions, and two achieved two distinctions. 

Remarkably, one inmate secured the third highest score in the whole of Myanmar in the arts stream. 

A total of 128,820 students participated in the matriculation exam, with 74,592 students passing, resulting in a pass rate of 57.90 percent.
