House and motorbike repairing shop of two NLD members in Kyaikhto sealed off

The house and motorbike repairing shop of two members of the National League for Democracy (NLD) party in Kyaikhto were sealed off recently, according to local sources.

One resident of the locality said that on June 22 authorities concerned sealed off the house of Han Win Myint from Kawksanaing ward, Kyaikhto, and the motorbike repairing shop of Thant Zin Phyo of Kawkhtin village, Kyaikhto.

He further said that it was learnt that Han Win Myint was very active in politics, and that it was not known whether any case had been filed against him or not. His house had been locked for a long time. It was learnt that he had been away for a long period of time.

Likewise the above resident of the town said that the motorbike repairing shop of Thant Zin Phyo of Kawkhtin village was sealed off by authorities on June 22, and that he had been booked in connection with a bomb explosion in the month of March.

The house and clinic of Dr Khin Saung, ex-MP for Kyaikhto township, and the house of Zaw Zaw Htoo, former member of state parliament for Paung township were sealed off on Dec 22, 2021. On Feb 18, two houses  of Daw Thiri Yadanar, ex-upper house parliament member for Bilin township, were sealed off on the pretext of being in connection with a terrorist organization.

In addition, authorities sealed off the house of ex-state parliament member Daw Khin Kyawk Phyu on Feb 19 on the pretext of being in connection with terrorist organizations.

Likewise, the Second Cafe Garden restaurant belonging  to  Saw Kyaw Moe near the airport in Leikinn ward, the Peace Garden belonging to Zaw Min Thant of Kyaikkaw ward, Thuwunna, and the house of Aung Kyaw Htay were sealed off on Feb 13 on the pretext of being in connection with terrorist groups.

In addition, on Feb 19 the house of ex Thaton township’s state parliament member representing the NLD, was sealed off on grounds of being in connection with terrorist organization.

On Feb 21 the houses of NLD party member ex-lower house member for Chaungson township, Dr Mi Cho Thei, and ex-state parliament member for Yay township,  NLD Party member, Kyaw Moe Aye, were sealed off on the pretext of being in connection with terrorist groups.
