Host Myanmar and Indian woman teams won second round of 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifying matches on April 3.

Myanmar team beat Nepal team 3-1 and India defeated Indonesia 2-0 in their first matches of Group (A) held at Mandalay.

The host team fielded its strong squad and applied pressure on Nepalese team. Although Ye Ye Oo scored the opening goal in 23rd minutes, they gave some chances to the opponent. Nepal equalized before the interval. Striker Win Thingi Tun scored second goal for Myanmar via penalty spot. She scored again in 89th minutes. Although Myanmar team beat the Nepalese team, they need to strengthen their playing style especially in their attack. Myanmar needs to win matches against Indonesia and India.

Dangmei Grace scored a brace for India to beat Indonesia women team in another match of Group A.

Myanmar will play against Indonesia on April 6 and India will face Nepal in the same day.
