Head of NLD’s central information committee Monywa Aung Shin dies of heart attack

Monywa Aung Shin, officer in charge of the central information committee of the National League for Democracy (NLD) died of heart attack this morning, according to political sources close to his family.

He was suffering from asthma but died of heart attack after about 6am today (November 28), said the sources.  

Monywa Aung Shin died just over a month after he was released from detention on October 18 under an amnesty since February.

He was officer in charge of the NLD’s central information committee as well as chief editor of D Wave journal published by the party. He was 76 when he passed away.
