Former State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's security team leader U Aung Naing Oo was sentenced to prison under the Official Secrets Act, according to the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC).
On October 13, Deputy Director U Aung Naing Oo from the Security Department of the Presidential Office and the head of Aung San Suu Kyi's security team, was sentenced to ten years in prison under the Official Secrets Act.
Regarding the news that the head of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's security team has been sentenced to ten years in prison, the SAC’s information team responded to a reporter's question in the Viber Group.
"We have to answer that U Aung Naing Oo was not sentenced to prison for being the head of security team for former State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and that he was sentenced to prison under the Official Secrets Act," replied the information team.
