Two Spanish and two Dutch nationals under COVID-19 quarantine at Inya Lake Hotel will be sent back to their homes under the arrangement of respective embassies in Myanmar, said MP Yan Shin of No.1 Mayangone Constituency.

“The embassies took responsibilities of their citizens and they have been listed as Yellow Stage. They had approval from the Ministry of Health and Sports to return home,” said the MP.

Moreover, 16 people who came to eat meals and swim at the hotel are allowed to return home. They are instructed to stay at home as they have been listed as Green Stage, he said.

When the authorities placed lockdown on Inya Lake Hotel, there are 90 guests, 73 hotel staff and 43 staff from the SOS clinic located inside the hotel compound.

“They are being kept in quarantine in the hotel,” said the MP.

The hotel and SOS clinic are placed on lockdown as the COVID-19 case-15 patient is a staff from the clinic which provided healthcare services to foreigners.
